Entry requirements International students for whom Engolish is not their first language, must have an IELTS score of 6.0 (academic) with no individiual band lower than 5.5, or TOEFL score of 550, or provide evidence of previous Englsih language study at level 4 in either General English (Advanced) or Business English, or equivalent evidence of English language proficiency. Applicants under 20 years of age must have a minimum of 14 numeracy credits at level 1 or above in Mathematics and 50 credits at level 2 or above with at least 12 credits on each of three subjects, including a minmum of eight literacy credits at level 2 or above in English of which at least four credits are in reading and four credits are in writing; or equivalent.
What will I study? This course emphasises teaching and learning through theory and practical based modules: Developing the skills, knowledge and competence required to assume a business related role. These skills shall include, but not be limited to critical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal communication and team work; meeting the industry requirements by equipping students with the knowledge that is current. Developing an understanding of the world of business from a New Zealand perspective. While also providing a spring board for higher level study in business related courses.
